This year welcome a flock of 40 laying hens! Inspired by Geoff Lawton's "Chicken Tractor on Steroids" they will be raised off a diet enriched with vegetable scraps from our COMMUNITY COMPOST PROGRAM while assisting us in creating beautiful microbe rich compost to build soil. We've converted an old school bus into a luxurious chicken coop which will move slowly across the land to give the birds continuous access to fresh forage!

*In commercial chicken and egg production, choosing brown eggs or "free-range" isn't always what you think it is. Brown eggs can still be caged and free range chickens/eggs may be raised completely indoors! Our aim is to provide truly free range eggs from a mixed heritage breed flock resulting in healthy eggs inside and out!
